1965 AHS Yearbook – JV Football Team

These scans were taken from the 1965 Indian, Anderson High School’s annual yearbook. Larry was a sophomore guard on the junior varsity football team. If you are having trouble finding him, he is #57 in row 3. (Click to enlarge)

The headline for this page says “Football Reserves win 6 of 8 games in testing for future.” They had a team total of 1,705 rushing and 722 passing yards.

    At first I was surprised at how hight the rushing yards were and how low the passing yards were. Then I realized that most high school teams probably run more than they pass.

    I know our JV team never passed because we never had a quarterback worth anything. It sounds normal to me.

    Yes it is, Cory reincarnated! I loved going to Larry’s football games. Larry loved football & I have heard many stories from his former team mates, I just wish I could remember all of them. I do know that he often had to walk to practice & that there were times, to avoid being late & doing extra push-ups, he would jump on trains to get him there on time. Love the pics!
