Dear Larry:
Here it is Sunday and a cold, sun shining day here. I was thinking that maybe you might call today since we didn’t here from you all week. Maybe after your basic training you may have more time to write to us. I sure hope so. I didn’t get to write to you yesterday . I kinda thought that dad would write to you, but he must have fallen asleep when I went to bingo. Dad and Karl went to the Anderson and Indianapolis Shortridge basketball game last night and Anderson won 63-60. Karl said they played Richmond Friday night and they won that game too. Karl said it was a close game but he didn’t know the score.

Dear Larry:
Just a few lines to let you know I am thinking of you and hoping you are ok. The kids just came home from school. Carol has to deliver papers and Karl is waiting for Dad to come home for he has a game tonight, so Dad is going to take him and is going to watch the game. They are playing the 7th Street School. Joanna didn’t work today, so her and Carol J—– went shopping, at least that is where she said they were going.
